More than 43,000 American students pursue degrees abroad, survey finds
More than 43,000 American students are pursuing degrees in other countries, according to a new by the Institute of International Education. The survey, which IIE says is the first to determine the numbers of students seeking degrees abroad, found that 44 percent are enrolled in master’s programs, 39 percent in undergraduate programs, and 17 percent in doctoral programs. The most popular fields are the humanities, social sciences, and business and management. Britain hosts the most degree-seeking U.S. students. Source: The Chronicle of Higher Education
